Focus Is a Weapon of the Strong
Why the best traders (and Bruce Lee) say no to almost everything

STAY FOCUSED
Focus is a weapon of the strong. Distraction is the failure of the weak.
Some of the most successful people in history understood this better than anyone.
Bruce Lee – “I fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times.”
Warren Buffett – “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.”
Steve Jobs – “People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas.”
And trading is exactly the same.
You don’t need to be in every move this week.
You need to do your thing… Your setup, your timeframe, your playbook.
Imagine this…
It’s Friday afternoon, and you took a small number of trades this week. Clean trades that followed your plan. Maybe some won nice R multiples, and some lost. But all were well executed.
How would you feel? Probably pretty damn good!
You dodged the headline risk, didn’t get seduced by the volatility, and ended the week green.
That’s a good week. That’s always a good week.
