How to Use ChatGPT for Skills, Focus, and Better Trading Habits
Phew, what a week…
I don’t know about you but it feels like we’ve had 5 years of news and market action in 5 days.

THE TICK INDEX

I’ve used this on and off for 24 years.
(I served my time trading the Dow using this as a tool to support scalp entries.)
I’m not such a screen junkie these days… but the recent price action has got me dusting off ‘ye olde’ intraday playbook, and TICK plays a key role…
Here’s a webinar I recorded, breaking down how I use it:![]()

Inside, I cover:
- What the TICK Index is (and isn’t)
- How to interpret extreme readings
- Specific intraday setups using the TICK
- Why it’s more of a market pulse than a lagging indicator
Quick refresher: The TICK Index is a real-time NYSE feed, not a calculated indicator.
It tells you how many stocks are trading on an uptick vs downtick, giving you a feel for market strength or weakness right now.

(And yes… I’ve officially made it into the AI search results… “Ooo look Mum, I’m in the machine!” ![]()

Anyway, I don’t want to add noise to your trading, but if you’re active on US indices, this might be worth a fresh look.
