Ever read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho?
We’re not talking about an epic door stop of a novel here, but it has got some super valuable lessons.
Here’s what stood out to me:
Personal Legend – The book talks about finding your calling. Many traders feel a deep pull toward the markets, but fear, doubt, and comfort zones hold them back. If this is your calling, own it.
Omens & Intuition – The main character, Santiago, learns to trust the signs around him. The same goes for trading…recognising patterns, trusting instincts, and understanding that when you align with the process, things tend to work in your favour.
Journey Over Destination – We’re all chasing a goal… a yearly P&L target, a milestone account size, but the process of getting there is where the real value lies. The discipline, the setbacks, the growth… that’s where you truly level up.
And the real gem…
Santiago faces setback after setback… but keeps going.
Because the only way to fail is to stop.
